demon

A couple days ago, Whitney Houston died at 48 with young early 20's daughter. She has battled addiction for as long as I can remember. She is beautiful and she was talented. She sang and she loved doing it. Whitney was a beautiful person who had a demon called addiction. I feel sorry for her family. We have heard all about her addiction and her death because she died before her time. How she could not over come her addiction.

My thoughts:  First Bobbi (daughter) could have been my children. I could have died when I was addicted. Many addicts do the same thing, they are selfish...its only about their next high and not about their children.  Second thought: Famous people can hire nannies to take care of their children instead of leaving them alone, so no CPS reports. They can party in better hotels but its still the same..when its time to stop partying, we are still alone....
3rd thought: Are famous people who are addicted any better than the average Joe. Aren't the demons the same?
4th thought: My heart goes out to the family. She had a mother who adored her, who prayed for her safety and to overcome. She had a daughter who loved her and will not have her mother to walk with her on her wedding day. The same daughter who some day will have a family and cry because her mom is missing out on seeing her Grandchildren. Every addict out there have someone who misses them and who is praying for them. Every addict is missing the chance for laughter, happiness and peace.

For the addicts who are still battling their demons and for us recovering addicts who chose not to dance with our demons:   In a blink of an eye, we are the same!!!
